Amish Deer Tongue Lettuce Seeds

The Amish Deer Tongue Lettuce is renowned as a great cut-and-come-again lettuce.

This lettuce is favored by the Amish for its ruggedness and high production. Amish Deer Tongue Lettuce gets its name from its sharply triangular, straight edged leaves. It has a pleasant, mildly sharp flavor.

Amish Deer Tongue is very heat tolerant and slow to bolt, making it a great addition to any home garden.

This variety dates back to the 1740s in the United States. It is native to the Mediterranean and West Asia where it has been cultivated for thousands of years. The ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians believed this lettuce to have great therapeutic effects.

This lettuce makes a beautiful salad and is a perfect garnish for party trays.
