Bulgarian Carrot Pepper Seeds
As their name implies, the Bulgarian Carrot Pepper is bright orange and shaped just like a carrot! These heirloom peppers are native to Bulgaria and their native name is "Shipkas,". The story goes that the Bulgarian Carrot Peppers were smuggled out through the iron curtain 20 years ago.
These 3 1/2 inch bright, fluorescent orange peppers are quite hot but with a unique fruitiness to their pungency. Bulgarian Carrot chile plants are just 18 inches tall and the bright thin-walled chilies grow in clusters close to the main stems protecting them from sunburn. These peppers are early to mature and very, very high-yielding.
Bulgarian Carrot Peppers are known to be one of the best varieties you can find for roasting or chopping into salsa and chutney.
