Calabrese Broccoli Seeds:
Calabrese Broccoli was brought to America by Italian immigrants in the early 1880s and gets it's name from Calabria in Italy.
Calabrese is a favorite cutting and sprouting Broccoli. It produces large green heads and stalks. After the central head is harvested, it will continue to produce dozens of delicious side shoots until the first hard frost.
Calabrese should be planted in May to be harvested during the winter or, in temperate climates, early the following year.
Calabrese Broccoli can be enjoyed raw, steamed, cooked or stir fried. It is definitely a staple in any vegetable garden!
