Costata di Romanesco is an easy to grow heirloom Italian zucchini squash. These famous ribbed zucchini are originally from Rome, Italy. The name Costata Romaesco means Ribbed Roman and the blossoms from this squash are a delicacy in Italy. This squash was not originally used for eating but for the numerous male blossoms which are used for battering and frying.

Can be grown for a winter squash at about 90 days or a summer squash at about 60 days. Costata di Romanesco is a large sprawling, vining plant. Not a great choice for small garden spaces.

This squash is said to be the best tasting squash in the world, you wont be disappointed!
