Dried Oregon Grape Root

Tall Oregon-grape is not closely related to grapes, but gets its name from the purple clusters of berries whose color and slightly dusted appearance resemble grapes. The leaves and root bark of this plant are used medicinally in tinctures, capsules and ointments.
Oregon Grape Root can be used to fight bacterial infections, purify the blood and liver and to help heal the skin and mucous membranes from a variety of conditions.

Oregon grape is also used as alternative treatment for eczema, psoriasis, acne, boils, herpes, and skin conditions linked to poor gallbladder function.
