Echinacea Paradoxa Seeds

Truly a paradox, this beautiful yellow flowering “purple coneflower” will become a favorite in any garden. Echinacea Paradoxa, also called yellow coneflower, is the only species of Echinacea to have yellow flowers and it is a very rare native wildflower found only in the Ozark (hence the name ozark coneflower) region of Askansas and Missouri.

Echinacea paradoxa blooms in mid-June to mid-July, when the spring flowers are dying down but before the summer plants get into full swing. Like many of its fellow Echinaceas it may take more than one growing season to get established but, it will produce more and more flowers as it gets older.

Echinacea comes from the Greek word "echinos" meaning hedgehog in reference to the spiny center cone.

Goldfinches and Butterflies are very attracted to these flowers.
