Ginko Leaf
Ginkgo products come from the leaves of the only surviving member of the ginkgo family, a living fossil more than 200 million years old. The Ginko Tree has been grown as a sacred tree in China and Japan. A single Ginko Tree can live for up to 1000 years!
The Ginkgo leaf has been used in traditional Chinese medicine since the fifteenth century. Binkgo Biloba is currently used as a herb in alternative herbal treatments to treat numerous ailments and problems including the; promotion of mental alertness, improvement of memory, treatment of cough and asthma symptoms, treatment of lung disorders and relief from diarrhea. The leaf tea can be applied externally to treat sores of the skin and to remove freckles. Ginko is also said to have a role in male sexual functioning. |
