Grecian Foxglove Seeds

Grecian Foxglove, also known as Woolly Foxglove produces beautiful large, cream colored, bell-shaped flowers on tall flower spikes, very attractive background plant.

The scientific name means "finger-like" and refers to the ease with which a flower of Foxglove can be fitted over a human fingertip. Individual flowers resemble the snipped off fingers of a glove, hence the common name of "foxglove". The flowering stem of this breathtaking biennial, develops in the second year.

Grecian Foxglove is originated in the Mediterranean and is now popular all across North America.. This Foxglove's flower buds are covered in fine silky hairs, open to white lipped reddish-brown tubular flowers, delicately veined and netted, tightly packed on many short stems. As with all Foxglove varieties, the Grecian Foxglove makes a beautiful cut flower.

A late spring bloomer, the flowers of the Foxglove reach their peak about the same time as roses begin to bloom. These flowers are highly attractive to hummingbirds.
