Indy Gold is an easy to grow
snap or
wax bean. It's delicious flavor and consistent yields make it one of our favorites.
Indy Gold was developed by Drs. John Morris and Ron Riley at Rogers Seed Company in Nampa, Idaho about 1992. It replaced 'Goldrush' as the predominant
wax bean in the U.S. markets during the mid 1990's.
Wax beans comprise only about 3% of the total snap bean market, and are grown most predominantly in Canada and eastern Europe.
Indy Goldis excellent as a home garden variety and is beautiful in a three bean salad.
Indy Gold is an excellent canning and freezing bean. Yellow in color, and keeps for a long time!
