Lion's Ear Seeds

Lion's Ear, also known as Klip dagga or Leonotis nepetifolia, is native to south Africa.

Lion's Ear is a very unique looking plant. Butterflies and hummingbirds love the wonderfully weird furry little flowers. The flowers of the Lion's Ear plant are striking and last a long time when cut. When you pick them, wear gloves to protect yourself from the spiny seed heads.

In Africa, people smoke the leaves of Lion's Ear as a substitute for marijuana. Lion's Ear has long been used medicinally in various parts of sub-Saharan Africa. People boil the leaves and breathe in the steam as a treatment for asthma. Lion's Ear is also used as a home remedy for diabetes in that country. In the Guayanas, people use this plant to deal with cramps and diarrhea, and as a diuretic, for kidney stones, skin diseases, swelling, thrush, uterine contractions, and wounds.

Lion's Ear good to use in protection spells and in charm bags for it brings you courage.
