Lolla Rossa Lettuce Seeds
Lolla Rossa Lettuce adds beautiful appeal to salads or as a garnish. This lettuce is so enticing, you'll want to find a way to use it everyday!
Lolla Rossa is a pretty, frilly, deeply curled, lettuce with red edges. It has a very mild yet unique flavor. If plants are left in the ground after leaves are harvested, the plants will regrow for multiple harvests. However, earlier harvests will tend to be the most tender.
Sow seeds outdoors in spring, 3 to 4 weeks before last frost or in fall for winter harvest. Sow every 3 weeks for a continuous harvest of this wonderful lettuce. After germination, plants should be thinned to 8 to 12 inches apart. Thinned seedlings may be replanted. For crisper leaves, harvest this lettuce during times of day that are cooler.
