The Picnic Watermelon is a very rare heirloom variety known for its oval shaped melon with a dark green glossy rind. The flesh of this melon is deep red with small black seeds and is very sweet.

The Picnic Watermelon variety produces fruits that are 8-14 pounds with an extremely durable rind.

Originally introduced in 1972, this heirloom Watermelon is very difficult to find on the wholesale market.

Picnic Watermelon is resistant to fusarium wilt.
