Thai Basil Seeds

Thai Basil is an easy to grow, attractive Basil with a very unique and intense anis-clove scent and flavor. This Basil is a common ingredient in Thai and Vietnamese cooking and is great in salads, soups and curries and is a wonderful addition to any stir fry or steamed vegetable dish.

In Vietnam, this Basil is known as húng quế, which translates to “cinnamon basil”. Thai Basil is frequently used as a condiment in Thai and Vietnamese dishes. It is an accompaniment to pho and is crucial in the well known “Thai chicken with basil leaf” dish.

Thai Basil can be container grown, it is green with very dark purple tips and is a pretty addition in any patio or home garden.

Basil is known to aid in digestion and relieve flatulence. Basil also has a slight sedative effect, making it good for headaches and anxiety.

As with all basils, you can also use this basil in the garden as a natural insecticide to repel aphids, mites, and tomato hornworms.
