Astilbe Gloria Purpurea Bulbs
Astilbe 'Gloria Purpurea' gives a great display of dense light lavender and pink plumes. This plant has bronze or silvery foliage that turns green by summer. The
Gloria Purpurea provides fine cut-flowers for fresh or dried bouquets. Ideal for waterside plantings, it thrives in well drained but continually moist soil. Will grow in drier soil, but must be well watered during drought.
Native to Asia and North America, the
Astilbe plumes bloom in June-July.
Astilbes are most stunning when planted in groups. They look great in a flower bed, as border edging, or in containers.
