Purple Dragon Carrot Seeds

The Purple Dragon Carrot, also called the Cosmic Purple Carrot, is truly a piece of natural art. It is absolutely unique with its deep reddish-purple exterior with an amazing contrasting orange-yellow interior. With a flavor that is described as “glorious”, “sweet and almost spicy”

These carrots have been cultivated in Afghanistan for a thousand years. They reached Europe and China by the 14th Century. Around the 1600s white and orange carrots emerged on the European culinary scene and over the next 200 years orange became the norm in carrot color- pushing purple carrots to the status of “hard to find” and “rare”.

Purple Dragon Carrots, have a high antioxidant and vitamin content which makes them perfect for eating raw or for making carrot juice.

These carrots can be enjoyed sliced, shredded or whole. The Purple Dragon Carrot is sure to please all of your senses.
