Red Brandywine is a delicious old Amish Heirloom tomato. This is the original Brandywine introduced in 1889 and originating in Ohio. The story of the Red Brandywine Tomato is that it was named after Brandywine Creek in in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Our organic tomato seed will produce vigorous vines giving 8-12 ounce, deep-red fruits in clusters of 4 to 6. Excellent, robust, old-fashioned tomato flavors.

Italian Heirloom Tabouli:

• 1 C. Bulgur wheat
• 1 1/2 C. boiling water
• 1 t. Sea salt
• 1/4 C. Fresh lemon juice
• 1/4 C. Olive oil
• 1 Clove garlic, minced
• 1 Large Italian Heirloom Tomato , diced (large pieces)
• 1 Cucumber, sliced in half moons
• 3 C. Fresh Italian Parsley, chopped
• 4 Green onions, chopped with tops
• Optional additions: fresh mint, chopped; fresh mushrooms, sliced; sweet pepper, diced; radishes, sliced; bean sprouts; hard cooked eggs, chopped; celery, diced; carrots, sliced in thin rounds

1. Pour boiling over wheat. Cover and let sit for 30 minutes
2. Stir salt, lemon juice, olive oil and garlic together
3. Add lemon juice mixture into wheat and allow to cool
4. Add remaining ingredients and desired optional ingredients just before serving.
5. Tabbouli may be served cold or at room temperature. It's also great stuffed in a tomato or pepper
