Dried Red Clover (Whole blossoms)

Red clover also known as Bee Bread and Cow Clover is sweet tasting, popular tonic herb. A perennial herb, Red clover commonly grows wild in meadows throughout Europe and Asia, and has now been naturalized to grow in North America. The red flowers at the end of the branched stems are commonly dried for therapeutic use.

Red clover has been shown to contain "phytoestrogens" (plant-based chemicals that are similar to estrogen) and is commonly used for women's issues such as; menopausal symptoms, as an alternative hormone replacement therapy, a treatment for infertility and to prevent osteoporosis. It is used as an alternative treatment for hot flashes/flushes, PMS, lowering cholesterol, breast enhancement and breast health, improving urine production and improving circulation of the blood.

Dried Red Clover is an important ingredient in "Infertility Tea" used by women to enhance fertility.

Red Clover has also been traditionally used to treat asthma, pertussis, cancer and gout.
