Snap Peas, like snow peas are a variety of pea eaten whole in its pod while still unripe. The name mangetout (French for "eat all") can apply both to snow peas and to snap peas. The difference is that snap peas have a round pod.
The snap pea is a cool season vegetable and can be planted in spring as early as the soil can be worked.
Peas can be enjoyed as a snack or added to salads. They are also often added to stir-fry or steamed.
