Spicy Globe Basil Seeds
Spicy Globe basil is an all green
basil plant that grows to form a unique, tidy, compact bush. This
basil is the most popular for container growing and also looks nice as a decorative (and delicious) garden border.
This
basil has a very strong flavor and scent and is a favorite of Italian chefs for its spiciness. Its
spicy basil flavor is a complement to any tomato dish. Great addition to your sauces or pestos. This variety of
basil could also be used to complement sage in a dish.
The tiny leaves of this flavorful variety can be used just as you would any other
sweet basil. The leaves and stems tend to be smaller and more tender than its larger leaved relatives, cutting down on the time needed for slicing or chopping before adding them to your favored recipes.
Spicy Globe Basil generally only grows 6 to 10 inches tall and wide.
As with all
basils, you can also use this basil in the garden as a natural insecticide to repel aphids, mites, and tomato horn worms.
