Sterling Hops are an Saaz hybrid, American floral hop released in 1998, bred to be similar in flavor and aroma to the noble Saaz hop variety. . Sterling Hops have a much higher yield potential than Saaz hops and may be used to replace Saaz hops in brewery blends. Sterling is used in European style lagers and, occasionally, in American wheat.
