Vanilla Grass Seeds

Vanilla Grass, also known as Anthoxanthum odoatum, is native to Europe.

Vanilla Grass is a small and aggressive perennial grass. Is best grown in a container and not allowed to flower. The blades of Vanilla Grass contains the vanilla scent coumarin. The scent and flavor are released when the green blades are dried.

The aroma of Vanilla Grass is very appealing to dogs. However, it should be offered in moderate quantities.

Tinctures of Vanilla Grass flowers are used for flavoring wine and to relieve hay fever.
